There was also a serious truck accident on the A 9 near Nuremberg

Another truck accident with three serious injuries occurred early Wednesday morning on the A 9 near Schnaittach in the Nuremberg region. A 22-year-old truck driver had lost his trailer, after which he parked his vehicle in the hard shoulder and attempted to walk to the trailer, which was parked in the right-hand lane. A 43-year-old drove his truck onto the trailer. This tipped over onto the 22-year-old, who was seriously injured. The driver and passenger in the second truck were also seriously injured. Paramedics took her to a hospital.

Motor oil bottles were transported in the trailer, which tipped onto the road and spilled. The police blocked the Autobahn in the direction of Berlin. “The rescue could take all day because the road has to be thoroughly cleaned,” said the spokesman. There was damage of around 200,000 euros.
