Right-back Benjamin Pavard leaves FC Bayern for Inter Milan. This was announced by the record champions in the evening. According to media reports, Munich will receive a transfer fee of 30 million euros plus possible bonuses.

Benjamin Pavard has been pushing for a change for a long time, and now it’s done. FC Bayern has reached an agreement with Inter Milan on the sale of the right-back, whose contract would have run until 2024. The French world champion of 2018 is said to bring the record champion 30 million euros plus five million euros in bonus payments. According to media reports, the 27-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Italian club.

Successor already found?

Should the Frenchman go, will Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah come on?. Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel is a big supporter of the 24-year-old Englishman. Both know each other from their time together at Chelsea. Chalobah is said to have already signaled that he wants to switch to Bayern.

Triple winner 2020

Pavard switched from VfB Stuttgart to the Isar in 2019 for around 35 million euros. The Frenchman was mainly used as a right-back in Munich, but he prefers to see himself in central defence.

With FC Bayern, Pavard won the treble of the Champions League, championship and DFB Cup in 2020. In total, the Frenchman celebrated four championship titles. He scored eight goals in 111 games.
