Cheap and spacious – the cargo bikes from the Dutch manufacturer Babboe have been among the most popular models in recent years and are omnipresent on the streets. A little over a week ago, however, many Babboe buyers received what they found to be a disturbing message by email: the sale of cargo bikes had been stopped at the request of the Dutch authorities, the company announced. And warned: Because of possible safety deficiencies, you should stop using the bikes for the time being.
