At the age of 18, Ricardo Pepi is an important player for FC Dallas in the MLS. But the attacker dreams of playing in Europe one day.

The American youngster Ricardo Pepi (18) from MLS club FC Dallas was on the radar of top European clubs in the 2021/22 season. The center forward only dreams of a club.

“I would like to play for Real Madrid one day,” the 18-year-old said in an interview with TyC Sports and thus indicated where it might end up in the future. The El Paso-born attacker made his debut for the United States national team in September 2021 and has already scored three goals and two assists in three World Cup qualifiers.

Ricardo Pepi: Real Madrid instead of Bayern, Juve and Co.?

In the past weeks and months, his name has apparently been mentioned at some of the top clubs in Europe. Among other things, FC Bayern was also said to be interested, other sources also name VfL Wolfsburg, FC Bologna, AC Florence, Ajax or Juventus Turin.

With a transfer to a top European club, Pepi would do the same as some compatriots and try to prove himself on the European stage: Sergino Dest (FC Barcelona), Christian Pulisic (Chelsea) and Weston McKennie (Juventus) have already taken this step.

In the US MLS, 18-year-old Pepi has already played 27 games for Dallas this season. He scored 13 goals and two assists. His current working paper runs until the end of 2026.
