A thriller about a man who bears a striking resemblance to King Ludwig II has attracted almost five million viewers to their television sets. Other well-known formats lagged far behind.

With its crime series “Der Alte” (The Old Man), ZDF once again achieved the best ratings on Friday evening. 4.92 million viewers saw the episode “The Moon King” about the death of a man who bears a striking resemblance to King Ludwig II. The market share was 18.2 percent.

3.85 million people watched the departure of pop musician Mike Singer from the RTL show “Let’s Dance”, with a market share of 15.8 percent. The ARD film “Dicke Luft” from the series “Anna and her subtenant” attracted 3.76 million viewers on Friday evening (market share: 13.9 percent).

Far behind is the singing show “The Voice Kids” on Sat.1 with 1.37 million viewers and a market share of 5.5 percent. 1.27 million people (5.2 percent) wanted to see the bloody western “Django Unchained” by cult director Quentin Tarantino on ProSieben. With the docu-soap «Goodbye Germany! Love to the end of the world” from the Vox channel spent 1.12 million (4.2 percent) the evening.

RTLzwei showed the action classic “Die Hard” with Hollywood star Bruce Willis as tough policeman John McClane – 0.88 million watched (3.4 percent). 0.64 million viewers (2.4 percent) wanted to see the television film “Einstein” on Kabeleins.
