ZDF won the evening of television – with a thriller. The first, however, showed women’s football.

The ZDF thriller “Die Toten von Salzburg” outperformed the assembled competition on Wednesday evening. From 8:15 p.m., 5.22 million (21.7 percent) switched on the episode “Schwanengesang” with Florian Teichtmeister and Michael Fitz, which was about the brutal death of a ruthless conductor.

The first showed the start of the European Football Championship for women. From 9 p.m. 3.01 million (13.7 percent) watched the 1-0 win of host England against Austria. That wasn’t enough to win the ratings, but there was more than twice as much audience as in the last test match of the DFB kickers before the EM.

ZDFneo broadcast the regional thriller “Wilsberg: Prognosis Murder”. 1.53 million people (6.4 percent) saw the film starring Leonard Lansink, Oliver Korittke and Ina Paule Klink. 1.30 million (5.5 percent) spent time with the RTL dating show “The Bachelorette”.

ProSieben had Sebastian Pufpaff’s comedy show “TV total” on offer and attracted 1.10 million (4.6 percent), after that 920,000 people (4.0 percent) stayed tuned to Elton’s quiz “Blamieren oder Kassieren XL”.

The Sat.1 clip show “111 animal creatures!” wanted to see 1.09 million (4.6 percent). The RTLzwei documentary soap “Daniela Katzenberger – Familienglück auf Mallorca” had 1.01 million (4.2 percent) fans.

The spy thriller “Mission: Impossible” with Tom Cruise, Jon Voight and Emmanuelle Béart ran on Kabel Eins, which was watched by 880,000 people (3.8 percent). The Vox comedy series “Herzogpark” with Heike Makatsch and Heiner Lauterbach had 500,000 viewers (2.1 percent).
