The appearance of the German women’s national soccer team at the European Championship attracted most viewers to the TV on Friday evening.

The German soccer players were the darlings of the TV audience at their successful start to the European Soccer Championship on Friday evening.

5.95 million people watched the 4-0 (1-0) in the first group game against Denmark on ZDF and, according to the broadcaster, ensured a market share of 25.9 percent. The live broadcast from Brentford was the highest-grossing television show of the day.

In contrast, 3.67 million (15.9 percent) saw the feature film “Practice with a Sea View – Family Ties” on the first show from 8:15 p.m. The RTL show “Top Dog Germany” followed 1.78 million (7.8 percent). The film “Sherlock Holmes: Spiel im Schatten” on ProSieben attracted 0.89 million (3.9 percent).

The new Sat.1 show “99 – One: r beats them all!” 0.74 million switched on, which corresponded to a market share of 3.5 percent. The crime series “Magnum PI” saw 0.6 million (2.7 percent) on Vox. The feature film “Titan – Evolve Or Die” attracted 0.59 viewers (2.6 percent) on RTLzwei. From 8:15 p.m. on Kabel Eins, 0.57 million followed an episode of the series “Navy CIS” (2.5 percent).
