Showtime on Saturday evening: Johannes B. Kerner places himself in front of Jauch and Gottschalk and also in front of “The Masked Singer”. But Kerner has to admit defeat to Heino Ferch: A crime thriller wins over shows.

Because of “Before a desperate production manager runs back and forth and says: “You’ve created another shitstorm”, I’d rather not say anything more”: It’s the third Saturday in a row Thomas Gottschalk could now be seen on television at prime time.

After the last “Wetten, dass…?” edition with the words quoted at the beginning and last week with “Disney 100 – The big anniversary show”, he was once again on RTL this time: in “Because they don’t know what’s happening – Die Jauch-Gottschalk-Schöneberger Show”.

On average, 1.88 million watched the almost four-hour spectacle with Gottschalk, Barbara Schöneberger and Günther Jauch. That was enough for 9.4 percent market share and third place in prime time.

Second place went to the ZDF/”Bild” fundraising gala “A Heart for Children” with presenter Johannes B. Kerner, which this time was watched by 2.79 million (11.7 percent). That was around 700,000 fewer than in 2022.

The most successful from 8:15 p.m. was the ARD thriller series “Die Saat – Tödliche Macht”. Episode one of the multi-part series with Heino Ferch was seen by 4.56 million (18.2 percent) in the first. Episode two was watched by 4.17 million (16.7 percent, from 9 p.m.), episode three by 3.76 million (15.4 percent) and part four by 3.43 million (16.0 percent). Episodes five and six will be on the ARD program on Sunday after “Tatort”.

Fourth place in primetime went to ProSieben: 1.59 million viewers (6.8 percent) saw the new edition of “The Masked Singer”. Behind it was the Christmas comedy “Santa Clause – A Nice Present” on Vox with 1.25 million viewers (5.0 percent).

The 20-year-old pirate adventure “Pirates of the Caribbean” with Johnny Depp on Sat.1 reached 1.06 million (4.4 percent), the US series “FBI: Special Crime Unit” on Kabel eins reached 730,000 (2.9 percent) and the action thriller “Speed” with Sandra Bullock from 1994 on RTLzwei 570,000 (2.3 percent).
