Raser delivers a wild chase with the police – Bavaria

A car driver suspected to be drugged has been in a wild chase with the police in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg and has also rammed two patrol cars. Officials wanted to check the 27-year-old’s car near Obernburg in the Lower Franconian district of Miltenberg because his number plates were advertised as wanted, the police said on Thursday. But the man kept going. While fleeing, the 27-year-old’s vehicle rammed several cars on Sunday, including two patrol cars in Wertheim (Main-Tauber district), which then had to stop the pursuit. Sometimes the man accelerated to 140 kilometers per hour. He finally stopped his car in Triefenstein (Main-Spessart district) and fled on foot into a forest, where he was discovered by a police dog handler and arrested. Because his state of health – probably due to the influence of drugs – was increasingly deteriorating, the man was taken to a hospital.
