Ranking: These are the countries where people live with the most unhealthy lifestyles

On holiday we not only want to enjoy the scenery, but also to immerse ourselves in the culture of the locals to really experience the country we are traveling to. But sometimes that might not be the best idea, because there are countries where people live a rather unhealthy lifestyle. And we shouldn’t necessarily copy it all the time.

In a data analysis, the health organization “Medical Aid” took a look at which countries had the most unhealthy lifestyles. For the study, the health experts used data from World Health Organization (WHO), des CIA Factbooks and from wise voter performed.

Europeans live the most unhealthy

Factors such as the average alcohol consumption per capita, the smoking rate in the country, obesity, physical inactivity and the number of STDs (apart from HIV) were taken into account for the ranking. The result shows that European countries in particular tend to have an unhealthy lifestyle – Germany also made it into the top ten. Incidentally, people in India live the healthiest lives, followed by Iceland and Sweden.
