Milan, Chelsea, Schalke, Frankfurt, German national team – when coaches or sports directors were recently sought in top football, Ralf Rangnick often came into conversation. In the end, it didn’t really fit anywhere. It is true that more and more trainers and skilled workers are successful at home and abroad, which were shaped by Rangnick’s two major projects, TSG Hoffenheim (2006 to 2011) and RB Leipzig / Salzburg (2012 to 2019).
