Overshadowed by allegations of sexual assault, the band Rammstein is currently touring Europe. The already controversial metal group plays four concerts in Munich alone. The most important questions and answers.
When does Rammstein appear in Munich?
Concerts in Munich are announced for June 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th, 2023. The group performs at the Olympic Stadium. The concerts start at 7:30 p.m., doors open at 3:30 p.m.
Are there still tickets?
The concerts are according to Rammstein sold out. There are also no more tickets for the three concerts in the Berlin Olympic Stadium a month later, as well as for most of the other concerts of the European tour.

According to the Munich Olympic Park, 240,000 people in the city should be able to see the concerts. What is Rammstein currently accused of?
After the first concert of the tour, which took place in Lithuania’s capital Vilnius at the end of May, a visitor made serious allegations against front singer Till Lindemann on social media. An employee of the band is said to have selected her and other young women and promised them backstage access. Apparently there should be sex between Lindemann and her, the concert visitor reported. She rejected what Lindemann apparently accepted. On social media, she also expressed the suspicion that she and other fans could have been given drugs to make them compliant. Other women then reported on social media and also that they had been cast to have sex with Lindemann. As part of research by SZ and NDR, some of the women reported anonymously about the alleged system to which they are said to have fallen victim. Rammstein immediately denied the allegations: “We are not aware of any official investigations into this,” the group wrote on Twitter after their concert in Vilnius.
Front singer Lindemann was criticized a few years ago with poems in which he let his lyrical self fantasize about rapes – with astonishing parallels to the allegations now made: “A little Rohypnol in the wine (a little Rohypnol in the glass) / you can’t do it anymore move / And you sleep / It’s a blessing,” wrote Lindemann in a poem entitled “When You Sleep”.
What do the allegations mean for the performances in Munich?
Little so far. The four concerts in Munich are to take place as planned, says organizer Frank Bergmeyer from Propeller Music: “Everything is going as planned from the start.”
The Olympiapark GmbH, after all a municipal venue, also assumes that the concerts will take place as planned. “If the allegations made were confirmed, it would be absolutely condemnable,” said a spokesman at the request of the SZ. “In this context, we would like to state that Olympiapark München GmbH is the lessor of the Olympic Stadium for concerts. The organizer is solely responsible for security and access authorizations in backstage areas.” In plain language: The municipal subsidiary does not see itself as responsible for what happens at the after-show parties.
Can you return the concert ticket after the allegations?
No. It is not legally possible to return tickets based on these allegations, according to the organizer Propeller Music. The tickets are personalised, which is why they cannot simply be passed on to other interested parties.
