The controversial Berlin band Rammstein (“Zeit”, “Sonne”) has planned twelve countries for their tour next year. The 18 concerts scheduled to date begin on May 11th in Prague, as the band said in a post on Wednesday. Finally, there were additional appearances at individual stations.

Rammstein announces stadium tour for 2024: four concerts in Germany

As in previous years, stations in Germany are planned again. The band will play in Dresden on May 15th and 16th and in Gelsenkirchen on July 26th and 27th. General advance sales for the concerts have been announced for October 18th.

Rammstein’s hometown of Berlin is not on the tour schedule in 2024. After four appearances in Munich, the band played three concerts in the capital this year. Frontman Till Lindemann (60), guitarists Richard Kruspe (56) and Paul Landers (58), bassist Oliver Riedel (52), keyboardist Christian “Flake” Lorenz (56) and drummer Christoph Schneider (57) live in Berlin. The six musicians came together here in 1994 and have since developed into the most internationally successful German band with their hard sound.

No “Row Zero”

According to dpa information, the band will use the stage they have been using since 2019 for the tour. The construction of the gigantic structure – in two versions with dozens of trucks – takes several days each. The security concept, which includes awareness teams in the stadiums, should also be adopted. The controversial Row Zero, the area directly in front of the Rammstein stage, remains without female fans.

This year’s tour was overshadowed by allegations, especially against Lindemann. Women had described situations online or in media reports that they sometimes found frightening. Young women were selected during concerts and asked if they wanted to come to the after-show party. According to some women’s accounts, sexual acts also occurred.

Lindemann had rejected allegations against himself. The public prosecutor’s offices in Berlin and Lithuania closed investigations into the allegations. The public prosecutor’s office in Berlin said that the evaluation of the available evidence did not provide any evidence that Lindemann “performed sexual acts on women against their will.”

End of Rammstein’s career is not an issue

With the tour, the band, which has been active for almost 30 years, is also sending a signal of continued existence. Rumors of separation were always outside speculation, according to those close to the band. An end to Rammstein was never an issue. The band always hoped that they could just carry on.

There is no lack of success and support for Rammstein. After the first allegations, sales figures increased. Six of eight studio albums were in the Top 100 album charts. The tour’s concerts were almost entirely sold out this year.

The stadium tour through Europe with a detour to the American continent began in May 2019, but there were repeated interruptions due to corona. During the two-hour show, which is characterized by fire, effects and pyrotechnics, the band plays around 20 songs each. The program for the more than 100 performances so far was slightly changed after the release of the latest Rammstein album.

In addition to the Czech Republic and Germany, the travel plan for 2024 also includes Serbia, Greece, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, Austria and Italy.

Rammstein singer Till Lindemann has already been on a solo tour

Rammstein singer Lindemann has previously been on a solo tour. The start is on November 8th in Leipzig. By the end of the year, the musician has planned a total of 24 appearances in 13 countries. Most of these concerts are already sold out.
