The strike of the union of German locomotive drivers (GDL) at Deutsche Bahn continued unabated over the weekend. Travelers again had to be prepared for numerous train cancellations and delays. The focus of the strike is still in the eastern German federal states and in some metropolitan regions, said the railway. According to the company, about every third long-distance train could drive on the weekend, it said. On the first two days of the strike in passenger traffic on Thursday and Friday, it was only one in four. According to the company, around 40 percent of the usual range of regional and S-Bahn services remained unchanged across Germany.
