Raids in Belarus against opposition members: The authorities’ revenge – Culture

The Belarusian Nobel Prize winner for literature Svetlana Alexievich may lose her apartment in Minsk, Belarus, in raids against opposition figures. Since the end of October, the Belarusian government has been conducting searches at hundreds of homes and offices of members of the Coordination Council. Alexievich has been living in exile in Berlin for three years, but was a member of the opposition Coordination Council during the protests against Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko in 2020.
