Raid day with Mega Scaraborn starts on the weekend – here’s how to use it correctly

Mega Scaraborn Raid Day is just around the corner in Pokémon GO! We have summarized for you what is important and how you can use it perfectly.

When does the raid day start? The Mega Scaraborn Raid Day will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What kind of event is this? On a raid day you have a Pokémon that is the focus of raids. While the event is running, you will have the opportunity to challenge and then capture the Pokémon in numerous arenas. This means you can do a large amount of raids against Mega Scaraborn.

If you defeat the Mega Scaraborn, you will receive Mega Energy. This is needed to trigger Mega Evolution. The faster you are at defeating them, the more Mega Energy you will receive.

How does raid day work with Mega Scaraborn?

Here’s how to get Mega Scaraborn: If you have successfully defeated Mega Scaraborn, you will not have the opportunity to catch it yourself. Instead, you can capture a regular Skaraborn and receive Mega Energy for successfully completing the raid.

This is how much energy you need: You need a total of 200 Mega Energy from Skaraborn to trigger this Pokémon’s Mega Evolution for the first time.

What bonuses are there? During the event the following bonuses will be active:

• Increased chance of encountering a Shiny Scaraborn in raids
• Up to 5 additional Raid Passes by rotating Arenas
• The limit for long-distance raids is increased to 20 (this bonus begins on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. and is valid until Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.)
• More Pokémon will appear around the arena for 15 minutes if at least 2 local trainers successfully complete a raid

What is the best way to proceed? In order to take full advantage of the additional raid passes, the following process is recommended for using the raid day effectively:

• You challenge and defeat a Mega Scaraborn
• You spin the arena disc in the arena to get a new pass
• You head for the next arena and repeat the process

What is the fastest way to defeat Mega Scaraborn? Mega Scaraborn has the Beetle and Fighting types. This makes Flying-type attackers particularly effective, as both types of Mega Scaraborn are weak against them. You can also use the Fire, Psycho and Fairy types, which are also effective.

Is Mega Scaraborn worth it? Mega Scaraborn is a strong Pokémon for your team. Mega-Skaraborn cuts a good figure both as a beetle attacker and as a combat attacker and can be used in raids and arenas. As a beetle attacker, the combination of Käfertrutz and Vielender are the best attacks; as a combat attacker, you should rely on counterattacks and close combat.

• Increased chane on XL special candies when completing raid battles
