The new Pokémon Hisui-Admurai debuts in Pokémon GO today, December 3rd. We’ll summarize everything about the event for you.
When does the raid day start? On Sunday, December 3rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. It is the first major event of the new season “Timeless Travels”.
What kind of event is this? Admurai’s Hisui form will debut in Pokémon GO on this Raid Day. It is currently unknown when it will appear again afterwards. If you want to secure the monster for the Pokédex entry, you should take advantage of the opportunity.
Hisui-Admurai will appear as a level 3 boss in most arenas in Pokémon GO. If you defeat it, you can grab it.

How is raid day going with Hisui-Admurai?
How do I defeat Hisui-Admurai? The Pokémon is of the Dark and Water type, which means it has a whole range of type weaknesses. It takes increased damage from the following types:
- Beetle
- Electric
- fairy
- Battle
- plant
The top counters include mega evolutions like Mega Gewaldro, Mega Guardevoir or simply Mega Rayquaza, because it is simply an animal attacker. Otherwise, rely on Terrakium, Katagami, Voltriant or other Pokémon from the list of the best counters against Hisui-Admurai in Pokémon GO.
Can Hisui-Admurai be shiny? Yes, the shiny form will also be catchable if you’re lucky.
What bonuses are there? The most important bonus is the additional raid passes. You can get up to five free passes during the event when you spin arena photo discs. But note: The next pass is only available once you have used one. And they can only be redeemed on site, not as a remote raid.
So do this to get the most opportunities:
- Go to the arena
- Defeat Hisui-Admurai
- Turn the arena for the next pass
- Go to the next arena
You repeat this until you no longer get free passes.
There are also two additional bonuses:
- The daily remote raid limit is increased to twenty. This bonus starts in Germany at 1:00 a.m. on December 3rd and only ends on December 4th at 4:00 a.m.
- There is an increased chance of encountering the Shiny version of Hisui-Admurai in raids.
What does the ticket bring? There is an optional ticket in the shop that will give you the following additional bonuses on December 3rd from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.:
- Up to eight additional Raid Passes from Arena Discs
- 50% more XP from raids
- Increased chance of XL candies
- Double stardust from raids
Can I get Hisui-Admurai any other way? Not according to the current status. In Pokémon GO, the Hisui variant is “decoupled” from the regular development series Ottaro, Zwottronin and Admurai and is treated as a quasi-independent Pokémon. So you cannot develop any of your previously captured Ottaro via Zwottronin in Hisui-Admurai.
