So far there is no museum in Germany that tells the story of the many millions of migrants. Manuel Gogos meets people who urgently want to change that.
Around 150,000 objects are stored in a depot on the top floor of the district town hall in Cologne-Ehrenfeld – so the collection already exists. But still no place where it could be presented. For decades people in Germany have been fighting for a museum that tells and documents the story(s) of migration, namely the association DOMiD, founded by immigrants in 1990, the documentation center and museum about migration in Germany.
