We will act to tackle inequalities at the root by improving our school and rebuild the health system.” Macron’s wife Brigitte was also present at her husband’s inauguration, as were many other faces of French politics. Former Prime Minister Edouard Philippe, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, who ran against Macron in the first round of the presidential election, and Culture Minister Roselyne Bachelot.
