In Saxony one sees an increasing radicalization of the union of values. Therefore, the work will now be continued in a new group.

The entire board of the conservative value union in Saxony has announced its withdrawal from the group. It sees itself as a grassroots movement within the Union parties CDU and CSU. The outgoing chairman Ulrich Link justified this on Friday evening with a radicalization of the union of values at the federal level. It not only resulted in the resignation of numerous members, but also impaired acceptance in the Union parties.

“The Saxon Union of Values was initially able to evade this development, but for some time now it has increasingly been held jointly liable for the situation in the federal association. Accordingly, there is hardly any possibility of having an impact on the party as a Union of Values.” The work should now be continued in the Saxon Homeland Union, which has already been founded.
