It has already been several months since Disney announced that it had chosen Rachel Zegler to play Snow White in its next live-action remake, but the controversy is not empty. Indeed, some fringes of the Web are still not tired of pointing out the contradiction between the name of the character and the skin color of the actress, while others are always quick to step up to defend it.
If the star, notably revealed by her performance in the West Side Story by Steven Spielberg, is grateful to those who support her, she would just like these discussions to no longer reach her ears.
Anyone can be a princess
“I greatly appreciate all the love I receive from those who defend me on the web, but please stop tagging me in these senseless arguments about my casting. I really don’t want to see that.” tweeted Rachel Zegler captioned a series of photos of her as a child in various princess costumes including one from Snow White.
And to conclude: “I hope all children know that they can be princesses no matter (what people say)”.
