There will be sixteen competitors at the start of the 13th Leg of the Grand National du Trot (Gr. III), support event for the Quinté+ (Top5 on genybet.fr), contested at the Nantes racecourse. Our favorite will be Haufor Gull (7). Well committed, the resident of Christian Bigeon has just completed two courses with his irons. Previously, this competitor had had a good first half, also winning two events on the Parisian cinder track. Seventh (on rail) last year on this course, it seems to have turned a corner since then. Barefoot this Wednesday, it’s a potential winner! The opposition will be mainly led by Urzy Fairplay (13), most recently at fault in Feurs. However, this seasoned trotter finished third in the Pornichet-La Baule stage during the summer. On paper, he seems to be the best chance of Jean-Michel Bazire’s team. Echo of Chanlecy (14), winner of the last stage at Feurs, is a competitor in great shape. He must be able to climb on the podium. Freyja du Pont (12)back from the mounted trot, Fragonard Delo (4)fifth last Thursday on the Parisian cinder, or even Eire of Helios (8)a well-known competitor at this level of competition, are able to take a place in the Quinté. Felix du Bourg (3) can grab a place at the end of the combination, just like Eliska Berry (6)third in the Lyon Trotting Grand Prix last September.
