Remains arrived in London

Queen Elizabeth II’s body has arrived in London. After landing at a military airport, we went to Buckingham Palace.
The remains of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) have arrived at Buckingham Palace in London five days after her death on Tuesday evening. King Charles III (73) received the coffin with his mother’s body. His brothers Prince Andrew (62) and Prince Edward (58) and his sons Prince William (40) and Prince Harry (37) were also there. The Queen was previously transferred from Edinburgh, Scotland, to the British capital in a military aircraft. Her daughter Princess Anne (72) was always by her side.
As in Edinburgh, tens of thousands of people lined the streets of London and clapped for their late Queen – despite heavy rain. The coffin will remain in the Bow Room at Buckingham Palace for the night. Tomorrow the funeral procession starts from the royal residence to the British Parliament. The body will be laid out in Westminster Hall until the funeral on Monday 19 September.
Prime Minister Liz Truss was waiting at the airport
The C-17 Globemaster military aircraft carrying the Queen’s coffin landed at around 8 p.m. after a flight of around an hour at the Royal Air Force’s Northolt airbase in west London. There, a delegation led by Prime Minister Liz Truss (47) and Secretary of Defense Ben Wallace (52) received the coffin.
