Queen Elizabeth II is “not amused” about the efforts of the heads of state due to the climate crisis. She was “really irritated”.

Rare political admission by Queen Elizabeth II (95): An apparently confidential conversation by the Queen was accidentally streamed live on the Internet. The Queen spoke to the Welsh MP Elin Jones, 55, and her daughter-in-law Duchess Camilla, 74, at the opening of Parliament in Cardiff. The topic in front of an unintentionally switched on microphone: the fight against the climate crisis. The queen literally: “It is really irritating when you talk but don’t act.” The British media report this unanimously.

Criticism of reluctance to act by states and politicians from the mouth of the Queen is a real rarity. The Queen maintains strict political neutrality in public. Which in fact means that she does not comment on political issues at all. The overarching topic of discussion for the women was the upcoming UN climate conference COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland. There the monarch takes part together with her son Prince Charles (72) and grandson Prince William (39)

Are the most important heads of state not coming?

Rumors have risen in the past few weeks that leaders would not be coming to Glasgow. Including possibly the Chinese President Xi Jinping (68) and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi (71). Even the Queen does not yet know the exact guest list. In a three-way discussion in parliament, she said: “We only know about those who do not come.”
