After the exertions of the past few weeks, Queen Camilla is now taking a break from her royal duties abroad.

Queen Camilla (76) is currently the highest-ranking working member of the British Royal Family. While King Charles III. (75) is currently undergoing cancer treatment and Princess Kate (42) is still recovering from abdominal surgery, Camilla has attended numerous public appointments and events in the past few weeks. Now the monarch’s wife is also taking a break from her royal duties. As the “Daily Mail” reports, it is now clear how she will spend it: Camilla should spend her well-deserved break in the sun abroad. The king himself ordered his wife’s break.

A week off for Queen Camilla

As already the British newspaper “The Sunday Times” reported that the Queen’s appointment calendar will remain empty in the coming days. During this time, the 76-year-old not only wants to dedicate herself to her family, but also wants to go on a vacation abroad on Monday, March 4th with a private flight.

King Charles III took his wife’s break. ordered personally, the royal author Ingrid Seward (76) told the British tabloid on Sunday. The king saw that his wife was exhausted and she now deserved “some rest and relaxation.”

13 appointments in the past few weeks alone

Since the palace made Charles’ cancer diagnosis public on February 5, Camilla has attended a total of 13 public appointments, including several appearances at which Charles should have been present. Last week she attended a memorial service for Constantine of Greece (1940-2023) in Windsor and then held a reception for hundreds of guests. On February 29th she met Olena Zelenska (46), the wife of the Ukrainian president, at Clarence House.

It is said that the Queen will not make her next public appearance until Monday, March 11th. She is expected to represent her husband once again and lead the Royal Family at the Commonwealth Day service in Westminster Abbey.
