Just in time for the coronation of Charles, Queen Camilla also gets a new figure in London’s Madame Tussauds to celebrate her new title.

Queen Camilla (75) has been given a second place at London’s Madame Tussauds as soon to be officially appointed Queen. The Queen’s new wax figure will be on display in a new section of the exhibition called ‘The Royal Palace Experience’ from Friday (April 28).

Her second wax likeness wears blue from head to toe again this time. Her head is adorned with a tiara decorated with blue stones, and she wears matching earrings and a necklace. The jewelry set is said to have been a gift from King George VI. (1895-1952) to his daughter Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). Camilla wears a dark blue dress by designer Anna Valentine and the Queen’s Family Order. The highest order of the late Queen is only awarded to female members of the British royal family. The styling mimics the outfit the real Camilla wore to a diplomatic reception in December 2022, one of her first appointments as Queen Consort.

New department arrives on time for the coronation

The new department – and Camilla’s new character – arrive in time for next week’s big coronation event. As Madame Tussauds writes in a press release, this is the eighth coronation in the 200-year history of the wax museum. In addition to Camilla, King Charles III. (74), Prince William (40), Princess Kate (41), the late Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip (1921-2021), who also died, can be seen in the “Royal Palace Experience”.

There is nothing to read about Prince Harry (38) and his wife Meghan (41) in the announcement. The division at Madame Tussauds had also changed since the two stepped down from their royal duties. “Like the rest of the world, we are reacting to the surprising news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be stepping down as senior royals. As of today, the figures of Meghan and Harry will no longer appear in our royal family set,” Madame Tussauds said at the time .
