Kamp Lintfort. St. Bernard Hospital has taken a significant step in providing high-quality medical imaging services. The hospital has now installed the world’s first new generation Philips Computed Tomography (CT) system, capable of performing sophisticated diagnostic procedures with exceptional precision.

This innovative system is designed to handle complex imaging tasks, particularly in the area of cardiac CT. Cardiovascular health is critically important, and cardiac CT allows for precise assessment of coronary heart disease and other cardiovascular disorders. With this advanced technology, the hospital can offer patients even faster and more accurate diagnosis, leading to more effective treatment and ultimately better outcomes.

The new CT system is not only powerful, but also equipped with the latest AI-supported functions. This innovation makes it possible to minimize radiation dose during imaging without compromising image quality. Patient safety and comfort are our top priority and this system significantly supports this goal.

“We are excited about the installation of the new CT in our hospital. This system is a quantum leap in medical imaging and will undoubtedly have a positive impact on healthcare in the region,” say associate professor Dr. Himar Kühl (chief physician of radiology) and managing director Josef Lübbers agreed.

With the installation of the state-of-the-art CT system, the “conversion” to digital radiology in the St. Bernhard Hospital has now been largely completed; two state-of-the-art digital X-ray rooms have also been set up in the last few months. The radiology team is particularly pleased about the modern, ergonomic design of all new X-ray workstations.
