Short boy was bullied – now he gets several film roles

Quaden Bayles was bullied so badly by other children because of his short stature that he no longer wanted to live. A Facebook video changed everything for him: now the eleven-year-old even acts in films.
Quaden Bayles was born short – and therefore had to put up with a lot. The Australian boy was severely bullied at school. Two and a half years ago, his mother posted a heartbreaking video of the then nine-year-old boy on Facebook, in which he cried bitterly over the bullying attacks and even spoke of wanting to kill himself – a low point for both Quaden and his mother.
But the boy’s life changed radically from then on. His fate became known around the world, stars like actor Hugh Jackman jumped to his side, people collected donations so that Quaden and his family could go to Disneyland – which the family refused. Now the eleven-year-old is even supposed to get a film role.

Director George Miller has cast him for a role in the movie “Furiosa,” which belongs to the well-known “Mad Max” series. The action film, which is due to hit theaters in 2024, tells the prequel to the 2015 film “Mad Max: Fury Road”. Miller told the Sydney Morning Herald that he was deeply moved by Quaden’s Facebook video.
As the director revealed, the boy will appear in his next film “Three Thousand Years of Longing”. The film hits theaters September 1st and stars Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton. Apparently Quaden Bayles Miller convinced him because he was immediately offered the next engagement. “It was good for him and it was good for us,” Miller told the Sydney Morning Herald. “He did such a good job that he landed a small part in ‘Furiosa’ right away.”

Quaden is doing better now, he has many prominent supporters. Immediately after his mother posted the disturbing video on Facebook, “Wolverine” actor Hugh Jackman wrote to Quaden with a video message: “Quaden, you are stronger than you think. And you definitely have a friend in me! ” He and his family continue to support other victims of bullying.
