Developer Pocketpair has released a roadmap of upcoming new features and improvements for Steam sensation Palworld, a new multiplayer survival game also known as “Pokemon with a Gun.” X presented. First, the team wants to address critical issues such as bugs and a non-progressive loading screen. The button configuration and the AI of the Pals, including route finding, should also be improved.
Palworld developers overwhelmed by sales success
“Sales have far exceeded the development team’s expectations, and we are currently experiencing many issues, including excessive traffic overload,” the X post says. “We will first work on fixing this issue and then move on to implementing new features in the game. Thank you for your understanding.”
New features and improvements planned
Next, Palworld will introduce new gameplay elements such as PvP, endgame raid bosses, a Pal Arena mode for Pal PvP battles, and crossplay between the Steam and Xbox versions. The developers also want to add new islands, pals, bosses and technologies. Palworld is also set to receive “various Xbox feature improvements,” server transfers, and building system improvements in upcoming updates. However, a specific period for the new features has not yet been specified. There is currently no mention of official mod support for Palworld. But maybe that’s better, because Nintendo’s lawyers are taking action for the first time on a new Pokémon mod for Palworld.
