A 24-year-old drove his company car into a garden fence on a bend in the road in Purfing near Vaterstetten on Sunday afternoon. According to the police, the driver and his passenger initially fled on foot, but were followed by the residents of the property and ultimately caught. He then handed the two over to a police patrol, who quickly found out the cause of the accident: the driver had significantly more than 1.1 per thousand alcohol in his blood. Criminal proceedings are now being instituted against him. According to the police, the damage to property amounts to a four-digit amount.
