Purchasing power: the CEO of TotalEnergies announces a rebate of 5 euros per fill-up at the pump and a gas check of 100 euros

TotalEnergies, gas and electricity supplier, announced on Wednesday two commercial gestures to help its customers cope with rising energy costs.

“We are going to give them a check for 100 euros” announces this Wednesday the CEO of TotalEnergies. TotalEnergies customers who heat with gas “will receive a gas check for 100 euros from us, a discount on their bill. The government had given them 100 euros (inflation bonus, editor’s note), double the check”explains Patrick Pouyanné on RTL.

“On the next bill”

“This year, I think we have to do something”, explains the leader, who indicates that the measure should concern 200,000 customers in a situation of fuel poverty. Help should come “there, at the next invoice“, in the form of a credit note, he adds.

Discounts at over 1,100 stations

A second measure will concern fuel prices at the pump in Total stations. The brand’s 1,150 service stations located in rural areas (“municipalities with less than 6,000 inhabitants and the axes that connect them”, specifies the CEO of Total) will offer a reduction of 5 euros for the purchase of 50 liters of fuel and 2 euros, for 20 liters. A measure that will begin on February 14 and is scheduled to last three months.
