A 22-year-old was critically injured in a fight in Aschaffenburg. Doctors put him in an artificial coma in the hospital. “As far as I know, there was no change in the state,” said a police spokesman on Sunday. Otherwise there is nothing new in the matter. The officials were called to Aschaffenburg city center on Friday evening because of a loud physical argument between six people. It is said to have been two groups. The 22-year-old man was hit and kicked in the head. Shortly after the incident, the police arrested three young men aged 18 and 19 in a back yard a few streets away from the crime scene – they are now suspects in custody. An investigating judge opened the warrant for them on Saturday because of the urgent suspicion of attempted manslaughter as a result of dangerous bodily harm, it was said. The authorities meanwhile continue to investigate the motive and the exact course of events.
