The good news for potential criminals in the Isar valley: the police station in Pullach’s town hall has been closed. The bad: the eye of the law will continue to look intensively to see what is right in town. At the latest municipal council meeting, Andreas Forster, who has been the head of the Grünwald police station for one and a half years, justified the closure of the Pullach police station, among other things, with the fact that the station was only rarely frequented with only 200 cases a year, including only 30 to 35 from Pullach . And after the community was planning renovation work in the town hall and the office would have had to be upgraded – for example with bulletproof doors and windows and air conditioning – he had short-circuited with the community. Both came to the result: “Is no longer absolutely necessary.”
The last official act in Pullach, the removal of the items that were still in the police room and the dismantling of the door plates, was carried out by Police Chief Master Marian Wittig from the Grünwald office on behalf of Police Chief Inspector Richard Müller, who will remain the contact officer in Pullach, but is now based in Grünwald.
Müller was a man from the very beginning when the police station officially opened on January 1, 2000. The Pullach police station had been closed shortly before and the Grünwald office had been slammed. Since then, the office has been occupied for a few hours during the week. Even after its closure, security in Pullach will remain high and there will be more strips in the village, said Forster. The only new thing is that from now on, Pullacher will have to report charges in Grünwald. But online reporting is now also possible. And if someone is not familiar with the technology, this is not a problem either: In individual cases, the police come from Grünwald to Pullach.
Will you be able to continue to expect an increased police presence at the beginning of school, asked local council Florian Gering (Greens).
