The municipality of Pullach is rolling up its sleeves in order to increase the vaccination rate, which is still too low, as quickly as possible. At least a thousand people who want to be vaccinated should receive a first, second or booster vaccination on the weekends up to Christmas – in a dental practice in which a vaccination center will be set up for this purpose on the next Saturdays and Sundays. At the same time, the district’s vaccination bus stops in town on this Saturday, and a week later, on Sunday, December 19, it is vaccination day in the community center.
The general practitioner and dentist Fiona Adler is responsible for the extensive range of vaccinations in the dental practice, who has entered into an alliance with 21Dx GmbH, one of the largest providers of test and vaccination centers in Germany. In the town hall one is impressed by the initiative of the doctor, who has been running her practice on Kirchplatz in Pullach for seven years. “We are very happy about the great commitment of Dr. Fiona Adler”, says Andrea Rohde, the head of the department for public security and order of the community.
The vaccination bus also comes as a reinforcement
Reaching as many people as possible as quickly as possible is the common goal, explains the doctor. She has no doubt that the demand will be great. The test run this Friday, December 10th, is already booked out, and more than a thousand interested parties have visited your website. “The feedback is extremely good, and we haven’t even started up all of the advertising channels,” she reports.
She actually wanted to offer a vaccination campaign in her practice as early as May or June, but at that time there were not enough vaccines available. At the weekend, however, vaccination should now take place at full capacity. Especially on this Saturday, the vaccination route in the Isartal community will in all probability increase sharply, because in addition to the dentist’s offer, the district’s vaccination bus will also stop at the Pullach leisure pool on this day. Interested parties have the opportunity to receive a vaccine from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.

While waiting times are to be expected here because no appointments are made, there will probably be no queues in front of the dentist’s office. “Nobody has to queue at all,” promises Fiola Adler. The appointments can only be booked online at www.pullach-impft.de.
To increase safety, there is a local quick test facility in front of the practice rooms, “and the rooms are completely ventilated,” says the doctor. As in the vaccination bus, in practice, due to the currently limited availability of Biontech throughout Germany, only the Moderna vaccine is currently offered for people over 30 years of age for first, second and booster vaccinations (with at least five months after the second vaccination). According to Fiona Adler, the range is to be expanded and continued into the new year according to demand.
A team of experts from 21Dx GmbH, which, according to the dentist, has extensive experience with corona vaccinations, will be in the dental practice at Pullacher Kirchplatz in order to be able to administer a thousand vaccines per week. The team has already carried out 150,000 vaccinations nationwide, according to a message from initiator Fiona Adler. “We will use our full experience and competence to guarantee the highest possible quality and a comprehensive range of vaccinations right from the start,” promises Simon Heckscher, the managing director of 21Dx.
She is pleased that her commitment is apparently well received in the locality, says the doctor, who, in her own words, is an “enthusiastic Pullachian” and cannot complain about a lack of local support, for example from neighbors, the Raben pharmacy, the pharmaceutical wholesaler, and local ones Companies. Even the property management of the practice building and many private Pullachers would have offered their help. She is also in contact with local doctors, including paediatricians, although children under the age of twelve cannot be vaccinated at the moment. And the municipality of Pullach helps with communication. “Hopefully with this spirit we will break the fourth wave,” says Fiona Adler.
