Pullach – The Isar Hochleite is too dangerous for a children’s playground – Munich district

The Hochleite on the Isar is an attractive place for day trippers, but not suitable as a location for a children’s playground. The majority of the Pullach municipal council agreed on this at its most recent meeting and thus rejected a corresponding application by the FDP parliamentary group. Instead, it is now being considered to expand the playground on the Maibaumwiese, which would also be in the interests of FDP local councilor Alexander Betz, who therefore withdrew his application. Together with Caroline Voit (Pullach plus), he will now submit a new application with the Maibaumwiese as the location.

He would have liked to see a playground on the Hochleite between the war memorial and the Kneipp pool on the median between the gravel path and the cycle path. There is a lack of play opportunities for children here, according to the FDP’s application justification. From the point of view of the administration, however, this place is not safe enough for a playground, as it would be on a cycle path that is sometimes used at high speeds. According to Peter Kotzur, head of construction engineering, the situation in the immediate vicinity of the edge of the slope is also problematic. It’s too dangerous for children to play here.

Caroline Voit then came up with the suggestion to think about enlarging the playground on the Maibaumwiese. Last but not least, Reinhard Vennekold (We in Pullach) was able to get used to this and pointed out that there was already a small playground here and that a higher frequency would also be in the interests of business people in this area. For the July meeting, Betz and Voit now want to formulate a new motion together. Kotzur sees the new location less critically than the one at Hochleite, but subject to a building law review, because the development plan does not provide for a playground at this point.
