Pullach: Readings in the library – district of Munich

The summer program of the Charlotte-Dessecker-Bücherei in Pullach has not only a literary character, but also a sporting one: on Wednesday, June 29, it starts with “fitness hiking” in the Isar valley with André Uzulis. Born in Hanover in 1965, the journalist, author and historian is also a certified hiking guide. Uzulis himself calls his current exercise book “Fitness Hiking” “the quintessence of my experience as a hiking guide and trainer”. On the tour in the Isar valley, he promises to teach the participants the “basics for more mobility, more strength and better coordination”. The participation fee is seven euros, you can register at 089/744 74 48 00 or [email protected]. Meeting point is at 5.30 p.m. at the library, Bürgerhaus, Heilmannstraße 2.

The other two events are classic readings with a strong focus on authors who also work for this newspaper: “Und wieder Azzurro” is the name of the reading on Thursday, July 7th, with author Stefan Ulrich and presenter Kia Vahland, both long-time SZ editors. The book is a declaration of love to the country of longing of the Germans, Austrians and Swiss: Italy. The reading begins at 7:30 p.m.

Roman Deininger and Uwe Ritzer also write full-time for the SZ, who will present their book “The Games of the Century” on Monday, July 18 (beginning at 7:30 p.m.). Admission for the two readings is also seven euros.
