Pullach – Brentano String Quartet – District of Munich

The Brentano String Quartet is named after the woman who some experts consider Beethoven’s legendary “Immortal Beloved”: Antonie Brentano. Beethoven is not on the program at the concert of the renowned ensemble on Friday, October 29th, in Pullach, but perhaps the four New Yorkers will make themselves a little immortal with this repertoire as well: In addition to Haydn’s string quartet op.71 / 2 and Schuberts The last string quartet No. 15, which is considered to be particularly challenging, will feature contemporary works by Bruce Adolphe and Steven Mackey. The concert starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are available in the community center (089/744 74 47 00), information at www.buergerhaus-pullach.de.
