Verdi is calling for a public transport strike – the effects are not yet clear everywhere

The Cologne transport company has already announced that from Thursday at 3 a.m. to Friday at 3 a.m. there will be no KVB light rail trips and only bus trips operated by subcontractors can take place. However, it is not yet clear for each of the affected cities what the concrete impact of the strike call will be.

Verdi explained that the pressure also had to be increased because the employers had brushed off all of the union’s demands in the first round of negotiations and submitted a number of counter-demands themselves.
