Public prosecutor’s office brings charges against Nico Schulz – Sport

The Dortmund public prosecutor’s office has brought charges against former national soccer player Nico Schulz. The ex-Borussia Dortmund professional is accused of three counts of grievous bodily harm. The injured party is said to be his former partner. A court must now decide on the admissibility of the charges. In response to SZ’s request, Schulz’s lawyer stated that there was no minimum amount of documentary evidence for these suspicions. The presumption of innocence applies.

The indictment is based on three incidents in 2020. Two of the acts are said to have occurred in the ex-girlfriend’s apartment in Berlin and one in his apartment in Dortmund. The public prosecutor’s office announced this on Friday in response to an SZ request. BVB announced the termination of Schulz’s contract last July; he is currently without a club. The 30-year-old played twelve games for the German national soccer team.
