PSG: goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier victim of kidnapping and violent theft at his home

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier (33) was the victim of an extortion attempt at gunpoint during a meeting on the night of Monday to Tuesday at his home in Hardricourt (Yvelines) , Le Parisien learned from a police source. His partner and his two children, aged two and six, were also threatened before obtaining money and jewelry. His wife was punched in the face while holding her two-year-old child. She was threatened with death. The two children were not victims of physical violence at the hands of the criminals.

Three of the four suspected perpetrators were arrested, including two minors. All three were taken into custody. An electric taser (PIE) was used during the arrest of one of the suspects. He had tried to escape by jumping from the balcony overlooking the entrance to the home, before being spotted and receiving the PIE shot. The fourth individual managed to escape. A police officer was injured in the intervention. An investigation into extortion with weapons and kidnapping was entrusted to the Versailles judicial police.

Gathered in a room

Alexandre Letellier and his family were woken up around 2 a.m. by their alarm system, while four people broke into his garden and then into his home. The owners of the home then tried to call the police, but the criminals asked them to cut off communication by gathering them in a room in the house. A knife was also found at the scene.

This is not the first time that a PSG player has been the victim of burglary. Last July, another PSG goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, was “tied up” by “several individuals” with his partner in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. He had been threatened with a weapon and “slightly injured”. The amount of loot was around 500,000 euros. Both were taken to hospital.

In May 2021, it was the father of the club’s captain and central defender Marquinhos who was kidnapped. At the same time, the home of former Parisian player Angel Di Maria was burglarized, without his family being targeted.
