The reliable dataminer billbil-kun has announced an upcoming limited-time sale of PlayStation 5 consoles in the US and Europe.
Known for numerous precise leaks, billbil-kun says the PS5 console would soon be discounted in Germany, the UK and the US, following recent promotional campaigns in Spain, Portugal and France.
Media Markt is already presenting.
The discount details reported by billbil-kun are as follows:
- Germany: Reduction of €75 (instead of €549.99 only €474.99)
- USA: $50 reduction (down from $499.99 to just $449.99)
- Great Britain: reduction of £75 (instead of £480 only £405)
And Media Markt is already presenting this in a current voucher booklet. This has been in effect since July 22nd and will continue until August 8th, 2023.
The PS5 is offered with a disc drive for 459.99 euros so even cheaper than the price mentioned above. Compared to the RRP, this corresponds to a saving of 89.01 euros.
Apart from that, the reductions should be valid both in the official PlayStation Store (PlayStation Direct) and at various retailers in each country, including Amazon, Target and Game.
In August of last year, Sony increased the prices for the PS5 in Europe, Japan and parts of North America, citing a challenging global economic situation. In the US, however, prices were not raised.
