Football on TV is expensive. Fans who would like to have the freedom of choice have to pay for several providers. You can save with combo offers.

Football on TV is expensive fun for fans and also confusing due to the number of providers. You can save a little with combo offers.

For example, anyone who wants to see all games in the 1st Bundesliga can book the fee-based Internet provider DAZN as well as the pay-TV provider Sky – or use the package offer currently being advertised.

New customers can book DAZN Unlimited and the Bundesliga package from Sky as an annual subscription for EUR 49.99. The offer is of course more expensive than last year, when it cost 38.99 euros. And it’s “limited in time,” according to a statement.

Duration unknown

A DAZN spokesman said when asked how long this package offer would actually be valid. It can only be booked via Sky, not via DAZN. Also important: After the minimum contract period has expired, the monthly price increases automatically to 80.49 euros.

The similarly expensive Internet package from Telekom is significantly more extensive. The MegaSport option, which has been advertised for a few days, costs a total of 49 euros per month for new customers in the first year of the contract, but has even more football to offer than the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga from DAZN and Sky. Other competitions are included, including all DFB Cup, Premier League and 3rd division matches. Anyone who is already a Telekom customer can get this combination offer for EUR 39 per month. After one year, the option costs 48 euros per month.
