He casually leaves the elevator to the left. Instead, Karsten Wettberg, 81 years old, with six stents in his heart, climbs the stairs to the first floor of the Mainburg Clinic with surprising ease. He marches down the hallway to the cardiac catheterization lab. There he smiles and poses next to the doctors for a photo. “They saved my life here four years ago,” says Wettberg. “And I can name 20 people off the top of my head who felt the same way.” Wettberg had come for a routine check-up.
