Protection against violence: Politicians should be able to keep their addresses secret more easily – politics

A draft law by Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) stipulates that elected officials will in future be able to more easily apply for so-called information blocks. This makes it much more difficult to find out the residential addresses from the population register. After violent attacks on local politicians, the federal government wants to better protect elected officials and make it easier for them to keep their addresses secret.
