As Axolotl and Teddy, «Tatort» actress Andrea Sawatzki and «red.» Presenter Annemarie Carpendale made it to the semifinals of «The Masked Singer» – now they have been exposed.
The bear no longer dances – and the amphibian fails: in the music advice show “The Masked Singer”, two celebrities, actress Andrea Sawatzki (“Tatort”) and presenter Annemarie Carpendale (“taff”), were exposed in one episode.
Sawatzki was dressed as a dazzling axolotl – also known as the Mexican tailed amphibian. Carpendale forced himself out of a teddy costume on Saturday night. Both received too few audience votes in the semifinals of the show and had to reveal their identities.
Sawatzki in particular had made comedic appearances as Lurch – the axolotl distributed love letters, played childish jokes and sang very idiosyncratic. Sometimes opinions even differed as to whether the mask was a man or a woman. “I never expected to be mistaken for a man. That surprised me a little, ”said Sawatzki.
Carpendale, on the other hand, put in a logistical masterpiece for their appearances. She is one of the moderators of the ProSieben magazine “red.” – and it runs live right after “The Masked Singer”. The 44-year-old always had to change her style extremely quickly so that no one could become suspicious. In the first show, she changed clothes 18 times alone, she said.
In “The Masked Singer” celebrities appear as singers, but hide their true identity behind opulent costumes. Only gradually are they unmasked. The final of the current season will take place next Saturday. Then the last masks fall.
