To great ills, great remedies. Faced with the persistent heat wave, the winds and the large fires that the department has been experiencing for several days, the Bouches-du-Rhône prefecture issued a decree on Monday pronouncing the closure of the 25 forest massifs of the department and the ban on the use of any equipment likely to generate a fire outbreak.
This closure is effective from this Tuesday and until July 25. This decree leads to the de facto ban on access to the Calanques National Park, in the middle of the tourist season.
