This year again, the City Festival will take place parallel to Gamescom on the rings in downtown Cologne. Everything you need to know.
Cologne – It has been at home in Cologne for many years: Gamescom, which takes place once a year in the exhibition halls in Cologne-Deutz (district of Cologne city center). The format has changed steadily over the years, and Gamescom now takes place for a whole week and attracts countless fans. At the end there is another highlight with the Gamescom City Festival, which this year will take place from August 26th to 28th at Rudolfplatz and Hohenzollernring. Gamescom City Festival 2023 in August – two stages and several stars
Various artists will perform on two stages from Saturday, August 26th to Sunday, August 27th. “One day shorter than usual, but more ambitious, more diverse and again future-oriented: This is how the gamescom city festival in Cologne city center presents itself at the end of this year’s gamescom,” says the organizer. Among others, Fritz Kalkbrenner and Moglii will be there.
There will be a special highlight on the Hohenzollernring as part of the Gamescom City Festival. As part of the Gamescom City Festival, “Arsch huh fürs Klima” will take place on Sunday, August 27th. The whole thing is organized by the initiative “Arsch Huh eV” and “Fridays For Future”. “We are setting an example for joint, social and sustainable commitment. With a diverse program we call for active action.” The event is scheduled from 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Negah Amiri and Marie Knäpper will moderate.

Gamescom City Festival: Rings and Rudolfplatz will probably be cordoned off
There is no information yet on whether and which roads have to be closed. One thing is already certain: the ring road between Friesenplatz and Rudolfplatz will be largely closed to traffic.
