Just seven days before the general election, Annalena Baerbock (Greens), Armin Laschet (Union) and Olaf Scholz (SPD) will meet in a third triall in front of television cameras. The debate will rise on Sunday, September 19, parallel to Pro Sieben, Sat 1 and Kabel 1. The ProSiebenSat.1 group announced on Thursday. It is the first time in history that there are three TV duels and trielle.
In the weeks before, TV viewers can form their opinion on the three top candidates in two further TV debates: on August 29th on RTL and on September 12th on ARD and ZDF. The triall at the three Munich private broadcasters is probably the last direct trial of strength of the candidates before September 26th. Daniel Rosemann, the station manager of Pro Sieben and Sat 1, justified the late announcement with the tight schedule of the candidates. ARD newcomer Linda Zervakis and Claudia von Brauchitsch, who regularly run the Sat-1 magazine, present the election triad at Pro Sieben, Sat 1 and Kabel 1 file presents.
