His career started at ProSieben as a sidekick for Stefan Raab. But he has long since outgrown these shoes. Elton now works for various broadcasters.
The entertainer Elton (52) will soon be seen in the RTL program. The Cologne-based private broadcaster will broadcast Elton’s show “Blamieren oder Kassieren” from autumn. In the coming year, another format from Stefan Raab’s show empire will come to RTL with “Beat the Best” – also moderated by Elton. RTL reported this to the German Press Agency on Wednesday.
“In addition to “diving tower”, two other formats from Stefan Raab come to us: “Blame or cash in” and “Beat the best”,” said RTL program manager Inga Leschek in the dpa interview. “Both will be moderated by the great Elton, who is making his debut on RTL. Hopefully this is the beginning of a deep friendship. We already have one or two other program ideas that we want to implement together with Stefan Raab.”
Celebrities against studio guests
In the reboot of the original “Blamieren oder Kassieren” two celebrities compete against a studio candidate in quiz rounds. The format was once part of the ProSieben program “TV total” and was shown last year as a separate “XXL” show – also still on ProSieben. At times it had around a million viewers.
“Beat the best” will then be shown on RTL in the first half of 2024. In the revised new edition, according to the broadcaster, celebrities compete in four episodes in different duels. In the final, the top two play for the jackpot.
The popular ProSieben presenter Elton, once Stefan Raab’s sidekick, works for several stations. In the first one you know him from the quiz show “Who knows something?”. He also appeared on NDR, ZDF and KiKA.
