For having attacked the principal of a school in Haut-Rhin, three men were sentenced on Friday in immediate appearance at the Colmar court to prison sentences after the assault on Tuesday against the backdrop of alcohol of the principal of a educational establishment.
As a reminder, the attack occurred on the day the school students returned to school. The three individuals, two brothers aged 20 and 33, and a 21-year-old man, already known to the justice services, had insulted students in front of the school. The principal and his deputy then intervened. Both had been threatened with death, and the principal had also received blows to the back of the head. The three attackers were then quickly arrested by the police, who also suffered threats and insults for several hours. The investigation revealed that the three individuals had an alcohol level ranging from 1.2 to 1.6 grams of alcohol per liter of blood. They explained that they had “celebrated a birthday,” as the newspaper reported Alsace.
Multiple convictions on the criminal record
At the hearing, the prosecution deplored “the devastation of the back-to-school week” and recalled the threats of “Kalashnikov” bursts. Sentences of 8 months were required for two of the defendants, 13 months for the perpetrator. The latter, the youngest of the three, was actually sentenced to 13 months, to which is added the revocation of the suspension of a six-month sentence from a previous conviction. Before the hearing, his record already showed fifteen convictions.
The two other defendants, with respectively seventeen and twenty-one convictions on their criminal records, were sentenced to six months in prison.
